Contents:
- Each Netbook tub contains: 1 Netbook, 1 Power Cord and 1 Optical Mouse.
Borrowing Procedure:
- Netbooks can be checked out by active South Central Library System cardholders in good standing (i.e. no lost items, fines less than $5.00, no miscellaneous blocks) by presenting their library card at the front desk.
- Netbooks are non-holdable and will be made available on a first come, first served basis.
- Before checking out a Netbook for the first time, patrons will be asked to read the Netbook Circulation and Use Policy and the Library Internet Access policy. Patrons 15 and younger will need a guardian to be present to read the policy before their first Netbook checkout.
- Standard printing rates apply (.10 per page for black and white; .50 per page for color). Printed pages can be picked up at the Circulation desk.
Loan Period:
- Unless specific arrangements are made, Netbooks are due back 2 hours after checkout or 15 minutes before the library closes for the day, whichever comes first.
- Patrons are allowed one Netbook checkout per day.
Fines and Liability:
- The patron checking out the Netbook is completely and solely responsible for the replacement cost of items in the Netbook tub in the event of loss or damage.
- Overdue fines will not be charged for the late return of a Netbook. However, repeated late returns will result in the suspension or loss of Netbook borrowing privileges.
- Patrons who remove a Netbook from the library will have their Netbook borrowing privileges suspended for one month. A repeated offense will result in loss of Netbook borrowing privileges.
- If a Netbook is not returned within 24 hours the Sauk Prairie Police Department will be contacted to recover the Netbook.
Conduct:
- Netbooks should never be left unattended.
- Patrons must return Netbook tub to a library staff member. Netbook tubs should not be left unattended on the Circulation desk counter.
- No files will be retained on the Netbook. Patrons are advised to save files to removable media before returning Netbook.
- The Sauk City Library is not responsible for any damages, data loss or distress, real or imagined, resulting from the use of Netbooks.
