
The 2025 Summer Reading Program begins Monday, June 9th and ends Saturday, August 16th.
The Summer Reading Program is a free and easy way to stay reading, engaged, and having fun this summer. Join us for special programs and reading incentives for all ages!
SUMMER READING PROGRAM
Sign up for the summer reading program at the library and pick up a reading tracker! The reading program starts June 9 and ends August 16. Children, teens, and adults can earn rewards and prizes for reading!
Halfway prizes will be available for pick-up starting Monday, July 7. Finisher prizes will be available for pick-up starting Monday, August 4.

Summer Kick-Off Party with BOTH LIBRARIES: Monday, June 9 at 10:00 AM-Noon
Join Miss Bethany and Miss Tori at the Riverfront Park and Splash Pad for a joint storytime at 10AM to start the summer! From 10:30 to noon, Miss Bethany and Miss Tori will be hanging out at the park. Stop by, pop some bubbles, play at the park, and get signed up for summer reading at both libraries. If there is inclement weather, we will hold the kick-off storytime and event at the shelter at Culver Community Park.
Summer Finale Party: Saturday, August 16 at 10:00 AM
Celebrate a summer of reading at the library! Play games, paint a library snake, and have fun! Don’t forget that this is the last day to turn in your summer reading!

Bubble Wonders: Saturday June 21 at 11:00 AM
Bubble Wonders is part science, part art, part inspiration and 100% fun! Geoff Akins combines the art and science of bubbleology with heartfelt life-lessons and encouragement along with a catchy award-winning theme song!
J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue: Saturday August 9 at 11:00 AM
Join us for an exciting hour-long presentation featuring live animals like snakes, lizards, insects, spiders, hedgehogs, birds, and more. This year’s theme explores the incredible ways animals use color in nature, from camouflage to warning signals. With a fun and interactive Q&A, our program is perfect for those looking to foster a deeper appreciation for the animal kingdom.
Children’s Reading Program – Ages 0-12
- Sign-up at the library starting Monday, June 9 to pick up your reading log.
- You can choose to track your summer reading by minutes or books.
- If you choose minutes, your summer reading goal is 12 hours
- If you choose, books, your summer reading goal is 50 books.
- ALL TYPES OF READING COUNTS! You can read a book, listen to an audiobook, or read out loud!
- Starting July 7 earn halfway reading rewards for 6 hours or 25 books and enter your name in the grand prize raffle.
- Starting August 4 earn finisher reading rewards for 12 hours or 50 books and enter your name a second time in the grand prize raffle.
- The last day of the Summer Reading Program is Saturday, August 16.
- The final prize drawings will be on the week of August 18th.

Ready, Set, Play!
- Geared for ages 5 & under
- Last Wednesday of the Month at 2:00 PM June 25, July 30, & August 27
- Join us for a fun-filled hour where little ones can wiggle, create, and grow! Creative art activities, sensory stations, music, and much more are in store! This is the perfect opportunity for toddlers to explore, learn, and have fun in a safe and welcoming space!
- Registration Required. Geared for Ages K-5th
- Wednesdays at 2:00 PM: June 4th & June 21st, July 9th & July 23rd, August 6th & August 13th
- Come ready for an adventure and join our Library Explorers Adventure Program! Learn about animal habitats, outdoor science, and much more in this fun club!

- Fridays at 2:00 PM June 20th, July 18th, and August 15th.
- Use your imagination to write fun stories and poems. Everyone gets a chance to create and share their writing. This club is a fun way to grow as a writer and try new ideas!
Tween Graphic Novel Book Club
Teen Reading Program – Ages 12-17
- Sign-up at the library starting Monday, June 9 to pick up your reading log.
- Choose to log by minutes with a goal of 16 hours or books with a goal of 60 books to track your summer reading.
- For 8 hours or 30 books earn halfway reading rewards starting on July 7 and enter your name in the grand prize raffle
- For 16 hours and 60 books earn finisher reading rewards starting on August 4 and enter your name a second time in the grand prize raffle .
- The last day of the Summer Reading Program is Saturday, August 16.

Art Heist Escape Room: Teen Edition
- Registration required

- Solve puzzles and unravel clues to recover stolen artwork before time runs out.

- Lorcana is a fun desk building two player game using Disney characters, songs, items, and locations. The goal is to be the first person to reach 20 (lore) points. This is a fast paced game with different variety of card playing and deck building.
Adult Reading Program – Ages 18+
- Set the pace this summer by setting your own reading goal. Pick any number of books between 2 and 40 to strive to complete before the end of the program on August 16.
- Sign-up at the library starting Monday, June 9 to pick up your reading log sheet.
- Completing half of your reading goal will earn you one grand prize drawing ticket. Achieving your full reading goal will earn an additional grand prize drawing ticket AND a free book.
- Want more grand prize drawing tickets? Take on the challenge to Color YOUR World! On the back of your reading log, color in your map of the world by reading books set in different regions of the world. For each of the twelve regions you complete, you will earn one additional raffle ticket.
- Finishing prizes will be available starting August 4. The grand prize winners will be drawn at the end of the program
